Boxretriever

The box-retriever is a lifting machine for handling containers and boxes for a miniload in a small goods warehouse. This machine type is therefore especially suited for use in the cool environment (moist surroundings) of the food industry.

This box-retriever has a number of special features, compared to similar systems. Because there is no outward movement, the input and output capacity is approximately 30% higher. In addition, the retriever can retrieve and place both cardboard boxes and plastic crates into standard shelving. Using a shelf system instead of a bulk container has the advantage of a low investment, plus avoiding the risk of crushing cartons in a moist and cool environment.

Because the containers and boxes protrude over the front, a shallow shelf can be chosen. When collecting a load, the retriever does not need to enter the shelf but only attaches the container or box from the front. This means that the boxes can be positioned closer to each other. Additionally, this technique makes it possible to pick up a box with a minimum of movement, making the system extremely fast.

In one movement, the retriever can pick up multiple boxes of equal width and differing length. Similarly the system can load boxes and containers with a maximum width variation of 10 mm.

The design configuration means that the unit is not only very low maintenance but also very easy to clean, an important issue in the food industry.

The retriever is made from aluminium parts, making the unit very light and strong. Lalesse supplies the retriever together with a miniload crane or, on request, as a single unit.
